Transformed Life
When Vipin Mandloli (27) from India converted from Hinduism to Christianity, his life was transformed. From alcohol abuse and a failed marriage he became a very devout Christian, supporting churches and evangelists in Jhabua District, Madhya Pradesh state. But his conversion and changed life angered the local Hindu priests. On 14 October 2007, Mandloli, a shepherd, left his home for a nearby mountain to graze his sheep; the site was near a new Hindu temple. He was shot dead in an attack suspected to have been carried out by three Hindu priests.
With gladness will I now sing;
My heart delights in God,
Who showed me such forbearance
That I from death was saved
