For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 2 Corinthians 4:17
Moises Alean Lopez (1994)
Caught up in Conflict
Moises, a 32-year-old pastor and father of two, was caught up in the conflict between the Colombian government, left-wing insurgents and right-wing paramilitaries. The country has been in this state of civil war since the 1960s, and Moises was forced on numerous occasions to entertain groups of leftist guerrillas at his small farm in the Uraba region, which was also the site of his church. In February 1994 right-wing paramilitary troops came to Moises’ farm and accused him of using his religion to help support their enemy. They would not listen to Moises’ explanations, shot him dead and wounded his wife.
May my work be faithful;
May my work be honest;
May my work be blessed;
May my work bless others;
May my work bless you.
May the wealth and work of the world be
Available to all for the exploitation of none.
