Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
Ashish Prabash Masih (2000)
Hindu Hostility
Ashish was a 23-year-old preacher who was found murdered at his house in Jalandhar city, Punjab state, India, in June 2000. The Punjab Christian Association believes that his killing was the outcome of a concerted campaign against the Christian community by Hindu nationalists.
Christians in India face much hostility from Hindu extremists. At the time of Ashish’s murder, a minister was killed in the city of Mathura, Uttar Pradesh state, and there were bomb attacks outside churches in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
Should pain and suffering, sorrow, and grief, rise up like clouds and overshadow for a time the Sun of Righteousness and hide Him from your view, do not be dismayed, for in the end this cloud of woe will descend in showers of blessing on your head, and the Sun of Righteousness rise upon you to set no more for ever.
Sadhu Sundar Singh (1889-1929)
